As a Security Engineer, you will:

  1. Implement and Optimize Security Tools

    • Configure and maintain end-user security tools such as EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender), DLP solutions, secure web gateways (e.g., Zscaler), and email security tools (e.g., Material Security).
    • Analyze user behavior, enforce security policies, and mitigate threats effectively.
    • Optimize tools to balance operational efficiency with an enhanced user experience.
  2. Ensure Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

    • Address and maintain compliance with frameworks such as SOC2, NIST, ISO27001, and HITRUST.
    • Provide expert insights on data protection regulations and ensure adherence throughout the organization.
  3. Problem-Solve Complex Security Challenges

    • Investigate and resolve endpoint security incidents and recurring access issues.
    • Develop and propose phased integration plans for tool deployment and updates.
    • Offer realistic solutions for key security challenges by leveraging industry best practices.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender), DLP, secure web gateways (e.g., Zscaler), and email security tools (e.g., Material Security).
  • In-depth understanding of policy enforcement, user behavior analysis, and endpoint threat mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize security tools for both efficiency and usability.

Compliance Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements such as SOC2, NIST, ISO27001, and HITRUST.
  • Solid understanding of data protection regulations and their real-world applications.

Problem-Solving and Strategic Thinking:

  • Strong ability to identify challenges, propose realistic solutions, and execute logical, phased plans.
  • Proven track record of addressing complex endpoint security and user access issues.

Communication and Presentation Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to deliver clear, structured presentations with supporting visuals.
  • Skilled in adapting communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
